Morgan Schneider is a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Spanish at UT. A native of Knoxville, she decided to major in Spanish in college after studying the language throughout high school. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a double major in Hispanic Studies and English with a minor in Latin American and Caribbean Studies in 2019. In her time as an undergraduate, she participated in study abroad trips to Cuba and Spain which further deepened her desire to pursue graduate level studies in the language. Her research interests include magical realism, poetry, colonial and medieval-age writings, and the representation of gender in Spanish-language literature.
