Shane Byerley

Shane Byerley (he/him/his) is a Master's candidate in Spanish with a minor in Portuguese. Born and raised in the Knoxville area, his main two passions are teaching Spanish language courses and researching the Latinamerican Boom and the poetry of the Generation of '27, in particular of the author Federico García Lorca. He participates in volunteer service in Knoxville's LGBTQ+ community and looks forward to working with UT's Pride Center.
