Graduate Teaching Associate in Spanish

Bruce Milton Cole was raised in the small town of Humboldt, Tennessee. He first began his academic path obtaining the A.A. degree at Jackson State Community College and later went on to study Spanish and English literature at Middle Tennessee State University where he earned both the B.A. and M.A.T. Spanish degree. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. in Spanish Literature with a second concentration in Applied Linguistics. His interests include Romantic and Realist literature of 18th and 19th century Spain. Currently he is (re)discovering the works of Spanish author Ventura Ruiz Aguilera and their relation to the Postromantic movement. Bruce has also organized and participated in Spanish Language Café in an effort to encourage students to comfortably practice Spanish outside of the classroom environment.
