Graduate Teaching Associate in Spanish
Tamara Centis is originally from Pordenone, in the North of Italy. She earned her B.A. degree in Arabic from the University of Alicante in Spain. Her work with UT led her to teach Italian and Spanish classes and to achieve a Master in Spanish. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Spanish at UT with a second concentration in Latin American Studies and Portuguese. Her academic interests include languages and culture. She speaks five languages including Italian, Spanish, English, Arabic and Portuguese. She is also involved in activities such as the Immersion Weekend and Language Café, which enhance students' cultural knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
