Graduate Teaching Associate in Spanish
Jessica Blanco-Marcos is originally from Spain. She earned her licenciatura in English Philology at the University of Salamanca, Spain and her MAT in Spanish from Northern Arizona University. She also held a TA position at DePauw University, IN. She is currently a PhD student focusing on Spanish Literature, with a second concentration in Applied Linguistics, and teaches intermediate Spanish. Her research focuses on 20th century Spanish women writers and peninsular detective/noir fiction. She has a special interest as well in the pedagogy of literature in order to build bridges between Spanish lower and upper division courses. She has been awarded the Herman Spivey Fellowship.
